After two solid practice rounds at Huddersfield Golf Course, Bård was ready to tackle the first qualifying tournament for the DP World Tour. Despite foggy conditions that interrupted practice, Bård and his former Texas Tech teammate, Jack Wall, managed to complete their preparations, setting the stage for the challenge ahead.

In the first two rounds, Bård displayed consistent play, finishing both days with a score of +1, leaving him tied for 25th at +2 overall. Though he wasn’t entirely satisfied, he remained focused and prepared for what was set to be a high-pressure final round.

On the third day, Bård played solidly through difficult conditions, leaving himself just three strokes shy of the qualification threshold. With everything on the line, the pressure was immense, but Bård kept his cool. Facing the challenge head-on, he delivered an exceptional performance on the final day, shooting an impressive -4. This solid score in the last round brought him into 11th place, securing his advancement to the next stage of the DP World Tour qualifying.

What makes this so impressive is not just the score, but how he managed to stay mentally strong under intense pressure. Knowing he needed a near-perfect round to make the cut, he maintained his focus, executing his shots with precision and composure. It’s no easy task to stay calm in such circumstances, and his ability to perform under that kind of pressure is a testament to his mental fortitude and competitive mindset.

With this achievement, Bård advances to the next qualifying round in Spain this October, moving one step closer to his DP World Tour dream. Before that, he’s set to compete in Denmark on the Ecco Tour, starting on Wednesday.

Congratulations to Bård, and best of luck in the next rounds!
